An adult is accountable
A verified adult account records versioned consent before a child profile or learning activity can be created. Consent can be withdrawn and paired devices revoked.
Only the data we need
Collection is minimized, private family files stay in EU-hosted storage, and parents can review or permanently delete family data.
No behavioral advertising
KnowGately has no child-facing ad SDK, does not sell child data, and does not profile children for ads or automated decisions. A parent-selected external provider may still show its own permitted content or ads.
Approved content stays bounded
Children open adult-assigned material in the Kids app. Unapproved navigation and external escape paths are blocked; when access is unclear, KnowGately blocks it.
We review these safeguards as laws, platform rules and the product evolve. Current behavior and limitations are documented openly.
